Self Project 02: Sleep Mask
I found it really hard to fall asleep these past few days so I made this blindfold in desperation. I hope this would help. :p

Recent Fascination - Brushes and Watercolor
I’ve always been a fan of Valerie Chua (quietgirl.net). I was impressed by her talent and her dainty works. Since I don’t have any talent in drawing, I use the watercolor for some typography and calligraphy (which I can do via Photoshop), I just like to expose myself on other art forms so I might as well give this a try while I still have the time to make some self projects. :)

Day 11 - Another point to ponder :)
Boldness or Pride?
A confident woman takes action. I have heard that there are two types of people in the world: the ones who wait for something to happen and the ones who make something happen. Some people are naturally shy, while others are naturally bold, but with God on our side we can live in the supernatural, not the natural.
We all have something to overcome. A naturally bold person has to overcome pride, excessive aggression, and false confidence, while the naturally shy must overcome anxiety, timidity, the temptation to withdraw from challenges, and low confidence.
A bold person can often be assertive to the point of being rude. What some people think is boldness is, in reality, pride - which is one of the things God’s Word says He hates. It seems that bold people just naturally assume they are right about most things, and they don’t mind telling other people just how right they are. And, while confidence is a good thing, egotism is not. Thank God we can benefit from our strengths and overcome our weaknesses through His help.
Pray: Lord, I want to make something happen through my life, but with the confidence that comes through Your strength. I humble myself under Your mighty hand and refuse to trust in myself alone. Amen

Aloha! Hello or goodbye? It’s the last day of May and it’s been raining almost every afternoon signaling the coming of the rainy season. It’s sad saying goodbye to summer but as they say for every goodbye there is a new beginning. So bye summer (and summer vacation), Hello June and hello another school year! I miss being giddy for the new notebooks, new things, new friends. Make sure to keep your promise of doing better this time- may it be in making and keeping friends, higher grades or saving money. God bless everyone! :)
Your Heart Desires
If you have been under a lot of stress lately, I encourage you to take an honest inventory of not only what you are doing, but why you are doing it. If fear is the reason you’re involved, eliminate some stress by getting your priorities straight. Your priority is not to keep everyone else in your life happy by doing all the things they expect; it is to live a life that is pleasing to God and one that you can enjoy.
Too many people are not living their dreams because they are living their fears. In other words, instead of doing things out of their heart, they do them because they are afraid of what will happen if they don’t. “Someone will get angry! I will get left out! People will talk about me!” It is time that you started being the person you really want to be. It is time to reach for your dreams.
Pray: Lord, I will delight myself in You today. You know the desires of my heart, and I entrust my dreams to You. Help me to be the person You created me to be. Amen.

Psalms 37:4-6
4 Do what the Lord wants,
and he will give you
your heart’s desire.
5 Let the Lord lead you
and trust him to help.
6 Then it will be as clear
as the noonday sun
that you were right.
